Did you graduate from a Canadian college or university, looking to work now?
International students who complete an eligible Canadian post-secondary program can apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), which enables them to work for any employer in Canada. By gaining Canadian work experience, students may apply for permanent residence later on.
We recommend students to start preparing documents for PGWP as soon as, or even before they completed their studies in Canada. It may take up to 6 months for the Canadian government to approve the PGWP and students can only apply for PGWP within 180 days of graduation.
You are eligible if you:
Graduated in the last 180 days, from an eligible designated learning institution (DLI) program that is at least 8 months long resulting in a degree, diploma or certificate
Maintained full-time student status in Canada during each academic year,
Received a transcript and an official letter from an eligible DLI which confirms you have completed the program.

You can not get a PGWP if you already had one after completing an earlier study program.

You can complete as many of the application tasks you wish before payment. Take your time. Some visas require a lot of information, which requires answering questionnaires and uploading of documents.
