In our last article, we have already introduced the Start-Up Visa immigration program and the benefits of the program. In this article, we’ll be exploring the target group of Start-Up Visa and the program eligibility.
Who is the Start-up Visa (SUV) for?
Entrepreneurs who want to immigrate to Canada, and are planning to establish a start-up business with innovative ideas.
Program Eligibility for Work Permit
Will live in a province or territory other than Quebec
Have incorporated your Canadian company
Have sufficient funds to meet the low income cut off for your family
Have work/education qualifications that suit your position
Lastly, have a Letter of Support from a designated organization
Visa Options for Families:
Spouse: Visitor visa, study permit, work permit
Children: Visitor visa, study permit
Program Eligibility for PR
Will live in a province or territory other than Quebec
Each SUV applicant holds at least 10% voting rights
All SUV applicants hold at least 50% voting rights
Meet the language requirements (CLB 5)
Bring enough money to settle
Lastly, have a Letter of Support from your designated organization
